Causes of loss of libido

There can be multiple causes for the loss of desire for sex. These include:

1. Medical causes: Hormonal causes (such as low testosterone), chronic medical illnesses like diabetes, use of certain medications (like some antidepressants, antipsychotics, blood pressure medications) can cause loss of sexual desire

2. Use of alcohol, illicit drugs are often associated with a lack of desire for sex

3. Stress, anxiety and depression are common causes of loss of desire for sex

4. The poor relationship between the partners also has a direct impact on sex life. If the couple has frequent fights and there are many points of contention, it has a direct impact on the sex life too
